Securing an employment visa involves several steps...

You have our support through every single one of them!

1. Determine Eligibility

Schedule an appointment with us and we will work together to assess which employment-based visa category aligns with your qualifications and circumstances. Please read the list above to familiarize yourself with the different visa types and identify which may be the most appropriate for you.

Secure a job offer from a Texas-based employer who is willing to sponsor your visa application. Ensure the job meets the requirements of the chosen visa category and aligns with Texas’s labor market needs.

For some visa categories, such as EB-2 and EB-3, your employer may need to obtain a labor certification from the Texas Workforce Commission to demonstrate the unavailability of qualified U.S. workers for the position.

Your employer files Form I-140 with U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) to petition for your immigrant status based on employment, with specific attention to Texas’s regional processing centers.

Depending on visa availability and your country of origin, you may need to wait for a priority date to become current before proceeding with your visa application, considering Texas’s demand for certain skilled workers.

Attend an interview at the U.S. embassy or consulate, taking into account Texas’s proximity to consular services, where a consular officer will evaluate your eligibility for the visa.

Upon approval, you will receive your employment-based immigrant visa, allowing you to travel to Texas to begin your employment within the state’s diverse and vibrant economy.

If you are already in the United States, you may need to adjust your status to that of a lawful permanent resident (green card holder) through USCIS, with recognition of Texas’s specific immigration offices and procedures. If you are outside the U.S., you can enter with your immigrant visa to commence employment in Texas.

Once in Texas, ensure you comply with the terms and conditions of your visa to maintain your lawful immigration status and work authorization, in accordance with both federal regulations and any state-specific requirements.
